| Grant Stirling started Stirling Images back in 1994, shooting white water rafting and adventure stock. His first clients included Macpac,, Ground Effect, Wilderness Magazine, NZ Geographic, Mountain Biking UK, MBR Magazine, Bike Magazine USA, NZ Mountain Bike, Hedgehog house and The Learning Media. Born in Nelson NZ, travelled extensively abroad in the early 90s shooting an adventurous 45,000km cycle tour crossing 17 countries over a 3 1/2 year period. Adventure and love for the outdoors is still in his blood with regular, kayaking, swimming, tramping, motor cycling, mountain biking and road cycling (NZ road race M4 champion 2010). Today Grant is now specializing in Architecture, Commercial, Portraits, and Weddings. His commercial client base is currently over 350. He is also BOSIET and HUET Certified- including Health & Safety, Fire, Marine & Aviation and Medical (a requirement for off shore Oil Rig Photography). He has covered over 200 weddings and a similar number of studio and outdoor portrait shoots. A personal favourite is fine art pregnancy shoots. Raised in New Zealand's deep south, Kristin Paterson ventured abroad to the United States in 2001 to study photography at Montana State University. In 2005 she graduated with Highest Honours for her degree in Photography (Media and Theatre Arts) with a minor in English Writing. Since returning to New Zealand and moving to Nelson with her family in 2006, Kristin has been working in both Commercial and Portrait photography as well as working on a long term project of photographing for a cookbook in Queenstown. |
