Having worked both nationally and internationally, Grant is an accredited, professional photographer, videographer and aerial drone operator, who approaches his work with passion, dedication, quality and a keen eye for the unusual. 

With 27 years experience in the commercial photography industry, Grant merges creative flair with technical skills to produce images that are highly recognised throughout the market.

He relishes the challenges of creating the ultimate image for either your corporate or commercial photography needs (including real estate, sport or fashion) or for personal use such as portrait photography and special events.

Grant is known as a humble man, even though his reputation has earned him notable contributions in the field of photography including several awards from the Photography International Magazine in commercial and wedding photography. Extensive work both written and photographic has also been showcased in many Mountain bike magazines, and outdoor adventure catalogues (like Ground Effect and MacPac) throughout NZ and abroad.

An Exceptional Nelson Photography Studio

“My Nelson based professional photography studio, which I use for some of my work, spans 6mtr x 10mtr with a ceiling mounted lighting system and a pure white infinity rear wall. The entire space can be converted to black (or other backdrops) in minutes and we have a variety of props that can be used as well. The still-life table, with it’s own infinity background, is permanently set up for shooting small to medium products. My studio is unique to Stirling Images, and one of a kind in the Nelson, Tasman region. My adjoining and spacious home office is modern and air-conditioned with adjoining gallery, showcasing recent works. 

After many years travelling around the world, Grant returned to his home town of Nelson, New Zealand, where he lives with his wife Inge and 14yr old stepson Luca. "When I am not working, I love home and family life mixed with plenty of outdoor adventure; mountain biking, camping, tramping, sea swimming, kayaking and more”.
